Burkes Haulage Pty Ltd was founded and commenced operations in May, 1981. Malcolm Wood is Managing Director, and he has a staff of 50, which includes 7 fulltime workshop staff. In November, 1997 Burkes Haulage Pty Ltd received their Certificate of Industry Accreditation (No. 000082) for their participation in the trucksafe program, which is under the Road Transport Forum Guidelines - the slogan for this program is "Today's Truckies - Giving 100%". This is an ongoing commitment that has the full support of all the Burkes Haulage Management and staff.

Burkes Haulage are the leaders in the cartage of bricks, pavers, masonry blocks and roof tiles, from production plants mainly in the Brisbane area, to the areas of operations. We are self - unloading, and this makes for a quick turnaround. All vehicles are radio - controlled with most drivers having a back up with mobile phones.

We are also agents for the various brick and masonry manufacturers and have our own salesmen to cover this area of operations. All our depots have a large range of brick styles and colours and sales staff are trained to assist builders and homeowners in their choice of colours and designs. There is also a large choice of paving available, and we have the added benefit of usually being able to get product to point of use on site, with the aid of our Moffett Mounty forklifts, as they are not as large as the case forklifts and therefore have the advantage of better access.
